Doctors Outreach was started by two doctors who were friends in medical school. Years later and a thousand miles apart, busy building their practices, they realized that they wanted to continue (in their spare time) the very work that inspired them to go into medicine: to help others.
Since 2004, Doctors Outreach has helped individuals around the world and is comprised of a diverse group people from doctors and nurses to pre-medical students and non-medical volunteers.
Today, Dr. Dolhun is focused on helping seasonal and migrant farmers in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Dr. Jacobs volunteers his time treating the homeless in Kansas City.
We believe that a small group of dedicated individuals can make meaningful changes in their community.
